All of us want to succeed in our lives, we want to be wiser, richer, or simply better, some of us know how to start and already put their feet on the road, but others do not know how to start, they really want to, but the beginning of the road is still fogy.

Let us try together to know how to start and go on to our success.

The first step to your success is to start dreaming! Yes dreaming, many successful people say that dreams are the beginning of any success.

 
“If you can dream it, you can do it.” As Walt Disney said.

So you have to start valuing your dreams and taking them more seriously and then you can take actions to achieve them.

“Nothing happens unless we first dream.” As Carl Sandburg said.

Ok, now some will say I will start to dream but, I will dream of doing or accomplishing small things, because I am afraid that if I dream of something big and I can not do it I will be depressed, but this is not the low of dreams, the low is If You are Going to dream, dream big, do not put a seal to your dreams, make it without limits, It doesn’t cost you a thing to dream.

This is a dream that leads you to success and whether you achieved your dream or not, do not worry as long as you are dreaming and trying you will succeed.

These kinds of dreams are easy for some people, but others are not used to them, because they did not grow up believing in it, and ideas like (it is wrong to take risk or you do not have the capability to change) are handed down to us from generation to generation.

for these reasons it may seem hard at the beginning, but we have to open the doorway beyond our current and patterned thinking otherwise it will be always holding us back. Know this, if you have the dream you have what it takes to achieve it.

In order to keep on dreaming try to find people who are dreamers, and people who are taking action to achieve these dreams, Look for them and be with them, understand how successful people think and act. Also read a lot about successful people, you will find that they started with a dream. Follow their success, you will find that they had big dreams because nobody makes it big by dreaming small.

Do not underestimate the power of positive support, you will find that it is essential in reaching your dreams and moving beyond your fears into the euphoria of achieving your dreams.

Communication skills for successful negotiation

Communication skills play a vital role in all walks of life. Wherever we go and whatever we do, communication skills really help us in all possible ways.

When it comes to business, there are times when we have to negotiate on certain terms like cost, marketing strategy etc. with those that are working with us on the venture.

When we have to finalize our salaries in new jobs, negotiations also do occur. Communication skills are a true helping tool here too and there are certain things one has to make a mental note of when entering discussions centered on negotiation.

Important tips to apply in negotiation:

We must remember the importance of politeness and confidence here too as everywhere else.

Politeness is the vehicle to success but it must be powered with utmost confidence to bring your opponents to your side and let them agree with your viewpoint.

The sphere of influence comes into picture here because it helps to create an ambience conducive for the discussion to come in your favor. A simple visualization of having everybody in your sphere of influence with the control of the sphere in your hands is the psychological tactic to exercise control for the sake of convincing others. You will learn this feat with experience and later on you won’t be requires to visualize it; it will get created automatically.

You must explain your notions with a clear intent when entering discussions that focus on negotiations of some kind.

Your body language must show total confidence and enthusiasm. Yes, one has to be enthusiastic about the new venture, project or the job. It is important that you listen to the other person with complete patience. One has to be very clear about what one needs in reality and must have the enthusiasm to look into what the other person wants.

It is better to have a few options with you than to run to an extreme end like cancellation.

Patience is the master key here. One has to learn to put commas instead of full stops in business deals and job recruitments. Be completely balanced in such meetings. You must analyze the pros and cons of your dealing and other options very carefully. Entering a state of silence may help you in this regard. Look before you leap…

You must be well informed about the deal at hand and the persons involved. The stronger your information base; there will be better chances of having the deal in your favor.

Don’t you want a win-win deal my dear? Let not your confidence leak during the discussion. Sit upright and remember that you have an equal role to play here.

Do not resort to lies during such meetings because deals go on for long durations of time and if the reality gets uncovered, you would be probably spoiling your relations forever.

Negotiation is not a competition, it is a general discussion to arrive at a consensus and go ahead with the business. It is not a one-time deal also. We may be interested in further deals with the same person or organization.

Do not get into a hot discussion because business deals are a serious communication between two interested parties. This may spoil the word of mouth about the parties involved.

One has to have a complete control over temperament while participating in such meetings. Otherwise, one can request some other person to discuss on their behalf. Remember, negotiations are meant to make and not to break. Though exceptions may occur but your prime motive should be to sign a contract in the end of such a meeting.

Do not take the other party for granted. Explain about your stand in a very professional manner. At the same time, be a good listener too and do not make haste through this process. Once frozen, you cannot change any of the clauses of the final agreement. Be very careful, for the business needs oxygen to survive. Do not poison the business with your foolish actions.

Negotiations mark the beginning of a new business relationship and the relationship may last for a long time. Hence patience, silence, tolerance and a very attentive listening form the vital parts of such a conversation.
